The Seventh High School Art Exhibition
Our Future

Welcome to the Seventh High School Art Exhibition, supported by The Friends of the Yellow Barn Studio and sponsored in part by GEICO. The works selected for this exhibition are examples of the fine work done by Montgomery County high school students from both public and private high schools.

In sponsoring this show, the Friends of the Yellow Barn Studio wants to recognize the remarkable talents of our young people. They are our future. If the arts are to remain a significant part of our culture, we must give these talented students the encouragement and support to develop their talents to their fullest.

The Yellow Barn would like to thank our members and contributors, who have supported this exhibition. It is your donations and your commitment to support our young people that have guaranteed the opportunity they need to reach their full potential.

Enjoy the show,
Walt Bartman
Director of the Yellow Barn Studio

Notes:: Judging this exhibit was a difficult task as there were many more pieces deserving of selection than we have room to display at the Yellow Barn. Out of 65 pieces submitted, forty were selected.. I think you will agree that the talent on exhibit is quite remarkable, particularly when you take into account the young age of the artists. Congratulations are due to not only the artists whose work is on display, but to all artists who made submissions. Let me again stress that if your work was not selected, it did not mean it was not a successful drawing or painting; there simply was not enough room for all the deserving entries to make the show.
