Artist Statement
I have been interested in painting since childhood. Upon retirement, I revived my interest in painting which has become an important part of my life. I began in 2005 with classes at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, Maryland. I also participated in several painting workshops organized by Walt Bartman and others. My technique is to use warm and intense colors to produce dynamic and vibrant paintings. In my view, color attracts attention and creates communication channels with the observer. My goal is to continue to paint landscapes, seascapes, and still life.
I am a Friend of the Yellow Barn and a member of The Senior Artists Alliance and have exhibited paintings in several local juried and non-juried exhibits.
