Chip Cecil is a local Bethesda, Maryland artist and small business owner. He specializes in figurative and automotive realism, and accepts commissioned work. He likes the dynamics of large oil paintings, and works from both photographs and life. His paintings have appeared at Light Street Gallery in Baltimore, at the
Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, at the Bethesda Row art festival, and at Barnes & Noble bookstores in Bethesda and Arlington.
Chip studied at Georgia Southern College and Montgomery College. He has taken classes through the Art League at the Torpedo Factory with Diane Tesler, Robert Liberace, and Kurt Schwarz; as well as with Walt Bartman at the Yellow Barn. He is
also a published cartoonist; his works have appeared in the New York Times, London Times, Montgomery Journal, and Magna Magazine.
