JOAN STEYAERT Watercolors Contact: joansteyaert@gmail.com About JOAN STEYAERT Art Medium: Watercolor Painting Joan Steyaert, Artist, a native Washingtonian graduated from the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree in Design and from the University of Pennsylvania with a Ph.D. in Economics and Planning. She paints bold and spontaneous landscapes and wildlife pictures that have been juried into National Exhibitions. In 2008, she was a featured plein air artist in the Arizona Daily Star. In 2009, Joan’s paintings were exhibited at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland and the Watercolor West Exhibition in Riverside California. In 2010, she was a featured artist in Missouri’s Watercolor Exhibit, the Fine Arts Festival in Oxford, Maryland, the Allegany Plein Air Festival in Cumberland, Maryland, and the Easton Waterfowl Festival. In 2011, she won 1st place at the Baltimore Watercolor Society’s Chevy Chase Show, and was featured in the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibit.
